Charlottemarie’s exposure to ethnic music started at a young age
listening to canters in a synagogue, East Indian Sanskrit chanting,
Mid Eastern instrumentals and West African rhythms.
Her career in
music started in her teens performing in many genres of music and
musical theatre. Following an inner prompting, she passionately
integrated her life’s journey and artistic expression in a soul
fulfilling vision of creating a voice and musical works that
transcends the norm. This passion evolved in an unconventional
development of voice, chant, performance and composition.
Charlottemarie’s highly developed vocal range, harmonics and style
weaves influences from India, the Mid East, Africa, Hawaii,
classical European and Tibet adding a multi-dimensional flavor to
her mesmerizing tones.
Charlottemarie’s experience, studies, and disciplines in yoga,
traditional chant and meditation fostered deeper awareness in the
profound effects of sound, vibration and music. This foundation
strongly influences her vocal performances and compositional style.

has 7 CDs and 1 book to her credit. She has created, scripted,
composed and performed 7 “world beat operas” as well as ensemble
performances and solo tours. She performs worldwide and is heard on
film soundtracks. Her performance and composition works have been
